There are so many good extensions available for firefox it's hard to pick out the best but here are a few of my favourites-

Foxamp

Allows you to control firefox through winamps statusbar.

adblock

Allows you to block most website adverts

makelink

Allows you to right click on a webpage that you want to make a link to, click on the type of link you want to make from the "Make Link" menu and then paste a link to that page in a forum using bbcode or html.
