Spyblaster is not recommended. Their site is on my restricted list.
(Not to be confused with SpywareBlaster which is a fine little utiility) .

Spyware Blaster is similar to the Immunize function of Spybot Sd but has more updates and is configurable. No harm having them both. SpywareBlaster is run just once to set registry entries and is not a running process.

If you must feel safe and secure as you need to be, Ad Aware, Spybot S&D and Spyware Blaster all work in concert. A special note to any that use Spyware blaster, and you use tools and check the disable IE home page settings, and you run AdAware and see an item appear in registry the spyware blaster is the culprit.

I just registered with SWI and want to let the community know how gratifying it is to have "helpers" out there. Many thanks to all of you. I just ran SpyBot and will pick up on the other suggestions as well.

One ? is the "value changed" messages that come up after SpyBot has run. They indicate the old vs the new data and ask if you should accept or deny the change.
When I ran a search on the new data, rydo84k.exe I came to three postings, two for computer Cop that never quite loaded up all the way thru IE and the 3rd was SWI which I am very glad did load.

I would appreciate any feedback re: the new vs old data choices.
