Hi,
First thing to do is ...

Download Posted Image Ad-Aware

After installing Ad-Aware, and before running the program.

Update Ad-aware's Reference File: instructions Posted Image here

Required Step: Posted Image Reconfigure Ad-Aware for Full Scan

Note: do not run Ad-Aware yet, just update and reconfigure.

Next:

Reconfigure Windows 98 to show hidden files:
Double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop.
Click the View menu, and then click Options or Folder Options. Click the View tab.

In the Advanced settings box, under the "Hidden files" folder
Uncheck: "Hide file extensions for known file types"
Select: "Show all files" Ok the prompt
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Next:

Close all open windows and browsers, rescan with HijackThis.
Place a check in each of the following then click "Fix checked".

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497}_ - (no file)
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{707E6F76-9FFB-4920-A976-EA101271BC25} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [intdctrr] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\idctup20.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TV Media] C:\PROGRAM FILES\TV MEDIA\TVM.EXE
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.r...ip/RdxIE601.cab
O16 - DPF: {B942A249-D1E7-4C11-98AE-FCB76B08747F} (RealArcadeRdxIE Class) - http://games-dl.real...ArcadeRdxIE.cab

Then reboot, on restart, restart in Safe Mode [required step - see "How To" below]

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\Temp
Completely delete the entire contents of that "temp" folder.

Open Windows Explorer locate and delete the following:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\idctup20.exe <--this file
C:\PROGRAM FILES\TV MEDIA <--this folder

While still in Safe Mode, run Ad-Aware and fix everything it finds.

After the above, reboot, Restart in Ms-Dos Mode
From C:\> (type and press Enter after each command)

cd\windows
smartdrv
deltree tempor~1
deltree history
deltree temp

Restart (Ctrl-Alt-Del)

Note: "deltree" will prompt you about deleting, answer (Y)

After the above, reboot, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log ...

Note: post a complete log ... yours is missing the top section.

Hi,

okay i couldnt go into ms dos

No problem ... it's because the top section of your previous log was missing, I assumed you were Win98.

For WinME:
Insert your WinMe bootdisk and restart. Select: "Minimal" from the menu
From A:\> (type and press Enter after each command)

C:
cd\windows
smartdrv
deltree tempor~1
deltree history
deltree temp

Remove the bootdisk and restart (Ctrl-Alt-Del)

http://www.mvps.org/...02/delcache.htm

Otherwise your log is clean now ...

Hi,

was there anything really important in the temp folder

Nope that's why it's a "temp" folder.

Last Step:

"Flush System Restore" (see "How To" below)
Basically turn off System Restore, reboot, run a full (updated) NAV scan, reboot and turn System Restore back on and create a new Restore Point.

How To: Configure Norton AntiVirus to scan all files

I would suggest adding some "Defense" to your system ...
