how do i un-hijack my homepage?

my homepage has been hijacked by res://ryqmw.dll/index.html#96676, which takeds me to http://www.search-to-find.com website. I also get taken to another search website as well.

Can you please help me to delete the stuff that is causing my problem? i don't know if this is related but i keep getting trogan horse viruses quarantined by my NAV2004 from th c:\windows folder and its extension, \system32.

Hans, you are fantstic to help me get the kids PC up again.
After lots of attempts i downloaded and used Ad-aware 6, Spybot S&D 1.3 and CWShredder.

I still have a hijacked homepage (res://ryqmw.dll/index.html#96676) but all references by NAV to trojan horses have gone- surely a blessing.

I don't know if this is relevant but got a 16bit ms-dos subsystem message on second to last IE browser opening that read-"c\windows\system32\iemr.exe The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegl operation. CS:0532 IP:ffeb OP:ff ee ff 00 fl choose close to terminate the appliation" which I did.

You have quite a few infections - Lets try get rid of the worst first ...
  • Please download About:Buster from one of the following locations:
  • Please close all windows.
  • Unzip AboutBuster.zip and doubleclick the exe.
  • Next click ok and allow the program to run. (it may take a few minutes)
  • Make a copy of the log it creates for posting later.
  • Then run the About:Buster a second time just to be sure it got everything.
  • Make a copy of the log it creates again.
  • Reboot and post the 2 about buster logs and a fresh HijackThis log.
