      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction

2 posts in this topic

Here it goes,

I've encountered some sort of pop-up spyware, only thing I could find was that it generated a random(I know because when I got rid of one, a new one with different name would pop up) exe file in Windows/System32,

Spybot and Adaware don't find it, not found by CWShredder,

File Created is: C:\Windows\System32\ahkiuur.exe (though I really think the name is randomly generated)

Anyway, I deleted the file on another user account since I couldn't on mine(gave me some sort of in use bs), and replaced it with a bogus file I created with notepad under the same name. (which has helped me deal with these programs before)

Now I don't get pop-ups, but get the following error window:

Heading: "16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem"

Text: "The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction. CS: 0557 IP: 0009 OP: f0 de 01 1A 04 Choose 'Close' to terminate application."

I can close the window, but everytime I go to a new page I get the error repeated.

There is also an ignore button: What will clicking it do?

I think I am on the right track since none of the commercial apps can find it, but I was wondering if some one here could help. If I am screwing with the wrong thing, please let me know,

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
