I have read the FAQ. I have run both AdAware and SpyBot, bother wer updated and removed a number of items. I ran MSConfig and elieminated some unusual items listed in teh startup that wer runningfrom Windows\temp and other locations. Files had names like 5xxC.EXE. These were untraceable on the Web so I assumed they were bad. Ran CWShredder and it did not find anything.

PC has POP ads that should be blocked with te Google Tool bar.

Booted machine to Safemode and reran SpyBot and Adaware - no Joy.

The computer used to run pretty well now stinks. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Here is the HiJackThis Log:

Quite aside from any malware - you have many programs that should not be running on startup.

Run all your startups thru this site http://www.answersth...es/tasklist.htm For startup programs

The biggest offender is LoadQM - second example, Speedracer, another useless process.
