Dear All,

Occasionally during the day, our computer all but freezes, and the task manager tells us that services.exe is pegging the CPU. This lasts for about a minute or so, and usually when accessing the internet (but not always).

Neither hikactThis, adAware nor spybot have found any problem. Usually the latter two utilities only detect tracking cookies but not real spyware, malware and adware such as GTAOD.exe which I have to remove manually. Are Lavasoft and Spybot afraid of lawsuits?

Searched this site and could find nothing related to services.exe. I thought that this was a Microsoft program.

Any ideas? Will provide logs and any other info on request.

Thanks !!
