I dont know about you lads and lasses but I use Virtual PC to browse the internet. i.e. a pc within a pc. It just seems a most elegent way of keeping a clean system. You can be extremely wreckless and use Kazaa, download as many trjans as you like etc but at the end of the session you just shut down virtual PC without saving the changes and hay presto! a completely clean system again.
If you do need to browse in sensative areas such as online banking etc, you just simply do this first while the system is relatively clean.
You can also keep multiple copies of windows XP, linux etc in there virgin clean state so if you must make changes to windows XP e.g. updates or additional program downloads etc you simply have multiple copies of windows.
virtual PC can also be used to test programs. this is such an elegent solution that I felt I must pass it on.
regards Jim

Virtual PC and VMWare are wonderful tools, but they're quite expensive, and the average user won't pay two hundred bucks for this kind of solution.
They are, however, excellent tools for analyzing malware.

I obtained my copy via Kazaa for evalution purposes. this is illegal. never the less its the only way to test software. I payd out so much money on software and then put it straight in the rubbish bin. I am fairly honest about the stuff I eventually keep though and end up paying for the stuff I like.

Virtual PC has a 30 day trial if you download it from their website.
