My pc is operating slow, and there are constant popups, you can't do hardly anything on the pc for the pop ups, even when I'm not using the IE, such as when I use the word processor. I have run adaware and spybot everyday, and it's the same thing everyday. I have looked at my hijack this log, but I don't know what would be safe to delete. I know I'm getting really irritated to have to run adaware and spybot daily just to use the pc. Thanks so much in advance for any help that anyone can give. Here is my hijack this log as of 8-1 THANKS!

major_mom101,

There are some items of concern showing up in the log you posted.

There is a new version of HijackThis (version 1.98.1) that detects more malware than version 1.97.7
It is available here:
http://www.majorgeek...wnload3155.html

Please update HijackThis by pressing: *Config* (lower right corner), then click: *Misc. Tools* at the top.
Next press *Check for online update*
You should see version 1.98.1 available.
Download the new version.

P.S. If you have any problems getting the update. Simply delete your old version of HijackThis and download the new version from the above link.

Please use the new version, and post a new log.

Hi major_mom101

Are you still in need of help ?
If so Get two free onlines scans
Trend Micro-Free online Scan: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
set it to autoclean, if it cannot tell it to delete found files,,
Copy its report back here if its unable to please.

BitDefender AntiVirus Free Scan, check all box's except auto clean, try to clean.repair if it cannot chose delete
http://www.bitdefend...can/licence.php

After BOTH of those are finished >
Click on "Start" => "Control Panel" => "Administrative Tools" => "Services".
Look for a service called "Wintools for IE Service" => Double-click it to open, then click on the Stop button and change the "Startup type" to Disabled. Do not worry if the service is not listed, continue >

While offline with all browsers and folders closed>
In control panel add-remove program's uninstall these programs
(if present) in this order, always restart the pc if an uninstaller prompts you to.
'Search Toolbar', 'WebSearch Toolbar', 'WebSearch Tools',
'Search Assistant'

And as the last step >> 'Win-Tools Easy Installer'.
it will say an internet connection is needed, its not,
at that prompt click "no" then another prompt click "no" then it will want to restart the PC click OK
windows will restart.

Then In your "my documents" folder make a new folder and put hijackthis there, it makes backups, you dont want them all over the place. It need to have its Own folder.
Open it click config > misc tools and check for an update online. there is a slightly newer version availabe. then Post a new log. Or download and unzip it from here
HijackThis 1.98.2
http://www.allsecpros.com/#hjt

Post abck with a new log please, and info/report from those Onlines
