a friend directed me here to get some help with a little issue that has been occuring for the last week

system specs cause I know someone is going to ask:
XP home fully updated
Athlon 2000+
512 DDR ram
10/100 ethernet card
1.5mb cable thru RoadRunner
toshiba pcx2200 cable modem

ok heres the dilemma:
we have all at some point gotten "WARNING!! Connection Problem Detected" while playing a game. no biggy it happens from time to time

my problem is that it happens to me every 3-4 minutes no matter what server I'm playing on

thought it was a Desert Combat/BattleField thing so I tried playing counter strike and day of defeat. same crap happens. I lag out every 3-4 minutes

close all games out and sign into MSN messenger and watch it. it looses connection and signs me out every 3-4 minutes

I have bypassed my router and hooked directly into my cable modem : same results, even after powercycling the modem

heres what I have done so far(pretty much in this order and done REPEATEDLY)
cleared temp files and cookies
defragged hard drive
Ad-Aware 6 Pro searched and deleted all found crap
Spy Bot S&D searched and deleted all found crap
Pest Patrol searched and deleted all found crap even AFTER running the other 2 programs
Norton 2003 searched and found 3 trrojans that I removed
deleted winsock files
reinstalled tcp/ip
set a command prompt up with help from a friend to ping google.com repeatedly for an hour and 14 packets were lost, so its something in the computer causing this to happen
chantged ethernet cards with other computer and this computer still has problem while the other stays connected fine

according to RoadRunner, my modeem is fine because even when I was "timed out" they were able to ping my modem repeatedly. this is only happening to 1 computer so its not my cable lines

I also realized something else. when I do time out, I do not loose connection to TeamSpeak. I am still able to talk while the game is trying to resumes

I was thinking there may be something wrong with my communications folder because I also have 2 different dial up ISPs on here, Walmart and MSN
MSN will connect and stay connected but when walmart connects, the status on the dialer says its disconnected

I was also told to run Hijack This and post the log here so here it is

I have road runner cable as well and I experience the same problem. At first I thought it might have been either my power saving settings or cable modem settings. Please someone help us with this problem! Its so annoying having to reset your modem everytime it times out.
