Internet explorer has been doing some weird stuff lately.... the Google Toolbar popup blocker isn't catching popups, and my browser will randomly stop being the active window (as in I'll be in the middle of reading or typing, and I'll have to click on the window again to continue scrolling or typing).

Here's my HijackThis file:

Also, everytime I reboot my computer AdAware picks up something called Rads01.Quadrogram. It seems no matter how many times I run Adaware I just can't get rid of whatever that is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Rebooted again this morning and had the same things pop up on Adaware. Not sure what I need to delete to get it off my system though.

Tom,
First do a Purity scan uninstall
http://www.puritysca.../uninstall.html

Reboot and then ...

Reconfigure Ad-Aware for Full Scan:
Please update the reference file following the instructions here:
http://www.lavahelp....dref/index.html

Launch the program, and click on the Gear at the top of the start screen.

Click the "Scanning" button.
Under Drives & Folders, select "Scan within Archives".
Click "Click here to select Drives + folders" and select your installed hard drives.

Under Memory & Registry, select all options.
Click the "Advanced" button.
Under "Log-file detail", select all options.
Click the "Tweaks" button.

Under "Scanning Engine", select the following:
"Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile" and
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under "Cleaning Engine", select the following:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Click on 'Proceed' to save these Preferences.
Please make sure that you activate IN-DEPTH scanning before you proceed.

After the above post a fresh log ...

Thanks for the help! I did everything you said to do, and I also rebooted again after running AdAware with the full scan.

There's been less random popups while surfing the web, but I'm still getting that strange Rads01.Quadrogram files showing up on an AdAware scan after every reboot.

Tom,
Well we got rid of one culprit ... now on to another ...

Next, download and run this tool (you must remain online while running it):

http://zerosrealm.co...oads/uninst.exe

There'll be no window nor any dialogue ... it will just run and quit.
You must restart your computer afterwards.

Then post a fresh HJT log and we'll deal with the rest.

Tom,
1) Restart in Safe Mode (see "How To:" below)
2) Enable Hidden Files (see "How To:" below)

Locate and delete the following:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\dp-him.exe <--this file
C:\WINDOWS\System32\appat32.exe <--this file

While still in Safe Mode:
Close all open windows, rescan with HijackThis and "Fix checked" the following:
