I've been here several times and you guys have all been such a great help. I'm usually pretty good about what I click on and where; however, I believe something has got me. I've run both Spybot S&D, Ad-aware, and CW Shredder. I'm still getting random pop-ups. This started yesterday afternoon. I was doing a search for some things and ran into a site somewhere along the line with a pile of pop-ups. I thought I appropriately got myself out of there; however, much to my dismay, I now have these pop-ups. Okay, enough rambling and here's my log . . .

Hi,
Create a folder via Windows Explorer for HijackThis, then move the file (HijackThis.exe) to that folder. This way any backups created are saved in a legit folder.

1) Restart in Safe Mode (see "How To:" below)
2) Enable Hidden Files (see "How To:" below)

Locate and delete the following:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\HFXFZF.EXE <--this file
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH <--this folder
C:\Program Files\ClockSync <--this folder

While still in Safe Mode:
Close all open windows, rescan with HijackThis and "Fix checked" the following:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapp...://my.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapp...rch/search.html
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://red.clientapp...://my.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = about:blank
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: mwsBar BHO - {07B18EA1-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH\BAR\2.BIN\MWSBAR.DLL (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {000020DD-C72E-4113-AF77-DD56626C6C42} - C:\WINDOWS\TWAINTEC.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: My &Way Speedbar - {07B18EA9-A523-4961-B6BB-170DE4475CCA} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH\BAR\2.BIN\MWSBAR.DLL (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MyWebSearch Email Plugin] C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\BAR\2.BIN\MWSOEMON.EXE

O16 - DPF: {1D4DB7D2-6EC9-47A3-BD87-1E41684E07BB} - http://ak.imgfarm.co...etup1.0.0.6.cab

Restart normally and then ...

Reconfigure Ad-Aware for Full Scan:
Please update the reference file following the instructions here:
http://www.lavahelp....dref/index.html

Launch the program, and click on the Gear at the top of the start screen.

Click the "Scanning" button.
Under Drives & Folders, select "Scan within Archives".
Click "Click here to select Drives + folders" and select your installed hard drives.

Under Memory & Registry, select all options.
Click the "Advanced" button.
Under "Log-file detail", select all options.
Click the "Tweaks" button.

Under "Scanning Engine", select the following:
"Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile" and
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under "Cleaning Engine", select the following:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Click on 'Proceed' to save these Preferences.
Please make sure that you activate IN-DEPTH scanning before you proceed.

After the above post a fresh log ...

Hi,
Your log looks clean now ... good job!

I've been here several times and ...

Doesn't that tell you something? ...

I would suggest adding some "Defense" to your system ...
See section: How To: Prevent this from happening again?

Funny!

Though, I must inform you, this does happen to be the first time I've been here for my own problems. I've been around serveral times as my boss seems to get his computer into many "situations." Thanks to the awesome help I've received here on all those occasions, he's been problem free for about a month.

Thanks again for the help!

Hi,

as my boss seems to get his computer into many "situations."

Then get him some "Defense", then hit him up for a raise! {$$$$$}

You're welcome ... glad to see you have resolved your problem.
