I've read your posting FAQs page; run AdAware, SpyBlaster, Spybot Search & Destroy, FXBeagle, and Shredder. I've run HijackThis and deleted the obvious file but the darn thing won't die! I've pasted the most recent HiJack log below.
Your help would be appreciated.

I tried running the scan at trendmicro.com that I found as advisement in another posting for someone who seems to be experiencing the same 'heretofind' problem.

Here's the revised HiJack This log...

I tried a couple solutions suggested in the string at:
http://forums.spywar...showtopic=23120

Seems like I got a lot of it, but wondered if there were any 'evil elements' I was still overlooking...

Here's my HiJack This log after the effort:

Hi, looks much better than your first log here

1. Check these in HJT, the blue ones are optional - resource hogs and not required at startup:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\QTTASK.EXE" -atboottime

O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {237AA178-C3BC-4f67-A8BB-D8BC14BA0B89} - (no file) (HKCU)

2. Close all other windows and browsers, and hit Fix Checked.

3. Reboot into safe mode by tapping F8 frequently during bootup, and delete:
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint << folder

4. Reboot into normal mode, make a new HJT log, and post it here :)

Thanks for the help H@ns --
I followed your instructions (although tapping the F8 key to boot in safe mode didn't work, and I had to reboot it again and hold the CTRL down instead) otherwise, I think I accomplished everything you recommended.

Let me know if I can do more...

Looks good!

Here are some tips, to reduce the potential for spyware infection in the future, I strongly recommend installing the following applications:
  • Spywareblaster <= SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
  • Spywareguard <= SpywareGuard offers real-time protection from spyware installation attempts.
  • How to use Ad-Aware to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Ad-Aware.
  • How to use Spybot to remove Spyware <= If you suspect that you have spyware installed on your computer, here are instructions on how to download, install and then use Spybot. Similar to Ad-Aware, I strongly recommend both to catch most spyware.
To protect yourself further:
  • IE/Spyad <= IE/Spyad places over 4000 websites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (Cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
  • MVPS Hosts file <= The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer
  • Google Toolbar <= Get the free Google toolbar to help stop pop up windows.
I also suggest that you delete your Temp folders regularly. Use CleanUp! to do this automatically for you!
