Hi

Is there something in the settings that needs to be selected to enable it to be used on startup.

Yes. I can preset it to start up when my computer starts up. This option is selected. I've also been to the Norton help site and followed all of the stuff they advised to do and still not Norton Internet Security. When I do get Norton Internet Security menu to open up it shows that I'm not logged in. When I log in as Supervisor it will not allow me to turn on Norton Internet Security.

Norton has advised as a last step to unistall and reinstall it. I've done this 5 times and ecah time Norton Internet Security works for a little while and then it goes back to the above problem.

Hi

not sure if am barking up the wrong tree, but am wondering if you have a trojan.
C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\NISUM.EXE

the last bit NISUM.EXE i did a search & got this info

http://securityrespo...ler.trojan.html

Avkiller.Trojan is a Trojan horse that terminates the processes of common antivirus and firewall products.

which seems to fit your symptons

I don't think that's the problem. My Antivirus is up to date and was ran last night with a clean slate. I also looked for the files that would indicate that I have the Trojan as per the link you gave me. None of the files show up on my system.

Thanks for the suggestion. Anymore ideas on what might be causing my problem?
