Please help? My son changed the security setting breifly a few days ago, and I got hijacked in a big way. After cleaning out over 200 different problems that somehow were let in, I still have a problem with hijackers re-installing themselves. Two of the same that I keep finding after rebooting my pc are: DSO Exploit and Purityscan. When I restart there is a window that says "P sear1" that shows up.

Here is my hijackthis log, after running ad-aware and spybot again:

You have the Peper trojan, which requires special treatment to put it out of your

misery!
Please download and run this

uninstaller.

Have Hijack This fix all of the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes

and hitting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are

closed before fixing.

These may be hidden files. See

HERE for how to show

hidden files.

Please rescan with Hijack this, post a fresh log, and say if your problems persist.

As a further precaution against reinfection, I strongly suggest that you remove Kazaa, and use a spyware free alternative. Kazaa lite still uses the vermin infested Kazaa network, and is an illegaly cracked program.
Be wary of strong drink. It may make you shoot at tax collectors, and miss!
Please support SWI forum

I went through each step, and hope I removed everything correctly.
It still seems to be a little slower than it was before all of this happened.
Can you please let me know what I can use as an alternative to Kazaa. I have been constantly fighting against this program to keep spyware out, but my teen daughter uses it daily and will be lost without a program to download music.
Thank you so much for all of your help, because this has been a real nightmare.
I also updated all of my microsoft critical updates, so that this doesn't happen again.

Here is my new log:

This an updated post, because I was reinfected with:

Ad-Aware
**********
eUniverse
coolwebsearch
Ezula
promulgate
TrackingCo

157 items

Spybot
********
eZulaHotText
DSOexploit
eUniverse.Updatemgr

I also manually removed a dsi folder and IncrediFind, and hidden promulgate files.

I unchecked the hidden files and folders box showed all file extensions, then re-ran Adaware, Spybot, cwshredder. Re-booted, and made a new log.
Can you let me know if I got it all this time?

Thanks so much for all of your help!! :-D
