Hi,
Important! Create a folder via Windows Explorer for HijackThis, then move the file (HijackThis.exe) to that folder. This way any backups created are saved in a legit folder.

1) Restart in Safe Mode (see "How To:" below)
2) Enable Hidden Files (see "How To:" below)

Locate and delete the following:

C:\Program Files\MagicKey <--this folder

While still in Safe Mode:
Close all open windows, rescan with HijackThis and "Fix checked" the following:

O4 - Global Startup: MagicKey.lnk = C:\Program Files\MagicKey\MagicKey.exe

Restart normally and post a fresh log ...

my firewall would detect loads of pings from other sources

That's pretty much common, some sites will "ping" you to see if you are valid, or the ISP may ping you to see if that IP is in use. You could turn off the pop-up prompts about incoming, as this will drive you nuts with all the prompts.

Note: also check in ZA and see if MagicKey is listed, if so remove that permission.

Hi,
Almost there ... (just a few minor items)

Close all open windows, except for HijackThis place a check in each
of the following, then click "Fix checked".

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A5366673-E8CA-11D3-9CD9-0090271D075B} - C:\PROGRA~1\FLASHGET\jccatch.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {E0E899AB-F487-11D5-8D29-0050BA6940E3} - (no file)

Then reboot ...

Notice the big difference in "Running Processes" in the 1st log and the 2nd?

Note: why both of these? (at the same time)

As i had mentioned in my first post regarding the pings i received, this time round the amount of pings have reached an insane level, with approximately 2 to 3 pings every second when im using Bit Torrent. It causes my net connection to freeze and all internet related program to hang. Hope you can find out the causes from my Hijackthis log.

Thks a million once again

Hi,
Just one minor item left ...

Have HijackThis "fix" the following:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A5366673-E8CA-11D3-9CD9-0090271D075B} - (no file)

Hope you can find out the causes from my Hijackthis log.

There is nothing else in your log to indicate a problem, so I'd have to assume that Bit Torrent is the culprit. Since I've never used that program I can not advise any further ... sorry ...

You might want to do a Port Scan to make sure Bit Torrent hasn't left your machine wide open and exposed. Here is a good place to start >ShieldsUP
