Need urgent help for computer that is no longer able to run hijack this. My computer's been having problems for a while now. Homepage (www.msn.com) background all white instead of blue. Unable to open yahoo or google pages. Defaults to travel pages instead. Tried to uninstall/reinstall but not in the add/remove programs.

When I click on the programs (either hijack this or spyware guard) the error message says...

"invalid picture"

Don't know how else to proceed. Please help...

A few things first. Are you using msn or internet explorer. This happens sometimes to me. Restarting the browser fixes it. In your case this is not true. Another thing can you run any programs. Or is this for all programs on your system?

Ducky,

Thanks for the reply. Resetting helped, but IE still opens with problems and pop-ups. Other programs okay. Here's my logfile...

You guys are awesome!

Hello. Ok theres nothing in there that screams out bad. But lets see if anything changes.

Please download spybot search and destroy from www.Tomcoyote.org/Spybot install it and start it. Click 'check for updates' . Hit download updates. Next goto Search for problems which is under the Spybot S&D tab at the left. Let it scan once it is done tick the boxes next to all the red items only and hit fix selected problems.
Next restart your computer and post a new log.
