The Boot Camp is a hidden forum where you can learn the ropes and advance to Helper. Experts and others will be there to guide you and answer your questions. A lot of good info there.
Just reply to this thread if you would like to be a Helper Trainee.
An Admin should turn up to admit you within a few hours. Watch for the "Group: Helper Trainee" to show up on the left there, under your name and avatar. (You may need to refresh the page).
Then you will be able to see the Boot Camp and go to Welcome to Boot Camp!
One of the Boot Camp Admins (Budfred or Indrid_Cold) will send you a PM outlining the steps to follow in your training.

You have been a Trainee before, are you asking to start again??

Also, my preffered user name of chamber has already been taken by someone who joined in June 04 and has made no posts, any chance of nabbing it?
Thanks muchly!

I would really like to become a Helper trainee!
I am MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), I passed the 70 270 exam (Installing, configuring and administering Windows XP Professional) and I want to improve my knowledge and skills and use them to help other people.
Please give me a chance!
Thank you and best regards!
P.S. I don't see the ability to send PMs, I hope you can contact me...

I am currently a Freshman+ at MRU and would like to join you all here as well; seeing as I have more free time than I can fill. My goal is to learn everything I can about combating malware so that I may some day join the ranks in battle

My nickname there is NeonFx and would like to keep that same nickname here.
I also provide general tech support at techguy.org.
Please PM me should a spot open up. I can see that you have many applicants lately.

The only objection my school has to joining other programs has to do with the fact that it promotes early burnout. If it's ok, I will take it slow here to make sure I learn and stay motivated all throughout.

In short, as you should be well aware, you cannot be a student at MRU and in Boot Camp simultaneously.

Does that mean your students can't be Trainees here to get access to our resources or just that they can't be active in training??Perhaps, NeonFX, you are planning on leaving MRU or perhaps you simply hadn't bothered to read our rules prior to taking the liberty to expound on them. To enlighten you, MRU rules expressly prohibit MRU students from being enrolled in another school while at MRU. Said rules are sent to all new Freshmen as well as being prominently posted in MRU. It is suggested that you read and understand said rules prior to presuming to interpret them.
In short, as you should be well aware, you cannot be a student at MRU and in Boot Camp simultaneously.

The rule means that MRU students are not permitted to be SWI Trainees for any purpose whatsoever, nor to participate in and/or have access at any other training school while they are MRU students. Once they have completed their training and are MRU Graduates, that is an entirely different matter and they would be encouraged to participate here.

I would like to join and learn how to remove malware and be a part of the community. My husband is in the malware business as a reverse engineer and security researcher. So I'm looking for a little home of my own.
He did say he'll help when he can so that might give me a little edge.

While I am not trying to sound arrogant... I can promise you will learn from me as well.
Thank you for your time.
