I'd like to be part of the boot camp, I have some experience as I have read a lot about malware and already know how to use hijackthis and can tell what lines are good and bad. I know about systemlookup.com and how to tell what type of infections a person has. Thank you for the opportunity.

The Boot Camp is a hidden forum where you can learn the ropes and advance to Helper. Experts and others will be there to guide you and answer your questions. A lot of good info there.

Just reply to this thread if you would like to be a Helper Trainee.

An Admin should turn up to admit you within a few hours. Watch for the "Group: Helper Trainee" to show up on the left there, under your name and avatar. (You may need to refresh the page).

Then you will be able to see the Boot Camp and go to Welcome to Boot Camp!

One of the Boot Camp Admins (Budfred or Indrid_Cold) will send you a PM outlining the steps to follow in your training.

Hello, everyone. I have been a programmer since the dark ages (that is, before the dawn of the internet). My main love has always been user support. I now have some free time available for the foreseeable future and would like some good anti-malware training. May I please join your boot camp?

I would like very much to become a Trainee in the Boot Camp. I have been doing some malware cleaning on forums but need training in those programs that come after the basics. A friend, kritius, in the Security Forum on Tech-101 known I am eager for assistance and recommended this site.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi there :D

I am currently a Freshman+ at MRU and would like to join you all here as well; seeing as I have more free time than I can fill. My goal is to learn everything I can about combating malware so that I may some day join the ranks in battle :)

My nickname there is NeonFx and would like to keep that same nickname here.

I also provide general tech support at techguy.org.

Please PM me should a spot open up. I can see that you have many applicants lately.

NeonFx, I have made you a Trainee. Be advised, though, that some of the schools forbid training in more than one place. (We ourselves have no objection).

Thank you cnm .

The only objection my school has to joining other programs has to do with the fact that it promotes early burnout. If it's ok, I will take it slow here to make sure I learn and stay motivated all throughout.

Perhaps, NeonFX, you are planning on leaving MRU or perhaps you simply hadn't bothered to read our rules prior to taking the liberty to expound on them. To enlighten you, MRU rules expressly prohibit MRU students from being enrolled in another school while at MRU. Said rules are sent to all new Freshmen as well as being prominently posted in MRU. It is suggested that you read and understand said rules prior to presuming to interpret them.

In short, as you should be well aware, you cannot be a student at MRU and in Boot Camp simultaneously.

Does that mean your students can't be Trainees here to get access to our resources or just that they can't be active in training??

The rule means that MRU students are not permitted to be SWI Trainees for any purpose whatsoever, nor to participate in and/or have access at any other training school while they are MRU students. Once they have completed their training and are MRU Graduates, that is an entirely different matter and they would be encouraged to participate here.

Hello everyone.

I would like to join and learn how to remove malware and be a part of the community. My husband is in the malware business as a reverse engineer and security researcher. So I'm looking for a little home of my own.

He did say he'll help when he can so that might give me a little edge.

I would like to join. I was enrolled at the Bleeping Computer study hall, but had to drop out because I run track for school and it wasn't giving me much free time. Now track season is over and the Bleeping Computer school is full. I know some of the basics about HJT now because of my former training. I am pretty well versed in many basic scanning/removal tools and help out alot in the BC Malware Removal Forums(the area that doesn't use HJT logs).

I will assume that all the positions are full for a helper on this forum but I would like to say that while I am new to having an account I am by no means new to a computer.

I am a Network Engineer for a West Tennessee Firm and have been working with computers and networks for over 10 years.

While I am not trying to sound arrogant... I can promise you will learn from me as well.

Thank you for your time.
