I see that you are helping with malware at many other forums (some of them dubious). If you become a Trainee you must not do any helping until you have graduated from our course. Can you agree to that?I realy want to join the bootcamp. I like to help people with malware and virusses!
Greetings,

Of course. A friend who followed this course also, also advised me to don't help during the course. The only forum where I am registered, is ComputerHulp Forum.

I'm french and I come from Zeb'Campus, a training center on the french board Zebulon.
I'm a "security helper" since few years but I had to stop being active because of personal things I had to care about. I talked about it to ipl_001 and he advised me to ask you to register to the Boot Camp.
Taking part of the Boot Camp could be a refreshment training for me, plus I would love to be active on US boards. You know, open my mind to new horizons !
So, yes, I would love to rejoin The Boot Camp.
Regards.

I'm an active poster on ComputerForum.com and am looking to help out those who come to the site with infected computers. Though we have several members that are apt in the art of spyware removal, only one or two post on a regular basis and I'm looking to help him out. SpywareInfo came highly recommended for malware training.
Thanks,
Travis

I have hesitated joining for quite awhile, as I had enugh on my plate to keep me busy, but I am now windowed and retired, so I now have extra time. I am no newbie to cmputers having used them for years and On the job as a lightwave tech for at&t. I am also on several user groupes where I am considered the gurue for all computer hardware and software problems,,,I am mostly right, but as in any diagnosis with those less than at least a little geeky it often a problem to get the user to report exactly what is wrong,,,anyhow although I have been more than succesful using regular tools in getting rid of problems for users I think I still need to pursue a bit more formal education ,,,I think I would be an asset to the cmmunity and a better asset for my other groupes if I attained a bit more training,,,being retired I can devote a specific amount of tme each day to helping on this list ,I appreciate your consideration in regards to this request.

Do you understand that we don't allow Trainees to help with malware anywhere until they have completed the training? Can you agree to stop hellping at those other forums?Admin:

I certainly understand the site wishes to maintain it's integrity and I can and will refrain from working on malware issues on Gen-Newbie other than recommending freely available software ( ie Malwarebytes ,superanti spyware, house call etc) I have already spoken with the list owner/moderator and explained I would be unable to assist in those issues while I am in training at Spyware info if accepted. I do feel comfortable working with most tools for locating and eliminating these pests, but that comfort also comes with a healthy respect for the constant changes that are occuring everyday as these exploiters develope new methods of attacks and thus feel the need hone my skills to a higher degree,,,and beside that,,i like the chase and I have the time,,,thanks for considering
George

Welcome to Boot Camp, george.I certainly understand the site wishes to maintain it's integrity and I can and will refrain from working on malware issues on Gen-Newbie other than recommending freely available software

I'm not sure about your having those users run tools, since you will not be able to interpret the logs for them. Please feel free to refer malware issues to SWI. (Ask users to read our forum FAQ before posting).

Getting [#10342] We could not determine which forum this topic is in. when trying to access boot camp.
That's because you have not been accepted into the Boot Camp yet.
EDIT:
And now you have.
Watch for the "Group: Helper Trainee" to show up on the left there, under your name and avatar. (You may need to refresh the page).
At that point you will be able to access the Boot Camp.
