Looks that way :) It has been a while though - I learnt Afrikaans in school which is fairly close to Dutch, I then married into a Dutch family in Canada. So, although I still understand it quite well, grammatically, I think CNM would have my hide ... :D

Canadees is Dutch for a Canadian man
Canadese is Dutch for a Canadian woman - see the little difference?? Posted Image

@ Jacee -Thanks :D

@ Dedos - Thanks :D

@ cnm - There are NOT a lot of "problems" with grammatical Dutch - is different from English :) O.k. I will keep an eye on them

Interesting ! Afrikaans comes from the Dutch language in the 17th century. There are almost 10 mio people speaking Afrikaans !

Tot 1923 viel Afrikaans onder het Nederlands, in dat jaar kwam de officiŽle erkenning als aparte taal. Er zijn enkele verschillen tussen het Afrikaans en het Nederlands wat betreft de grammatica en spelling.

I guess, you must be perfect in Dutch Posted Image
