:techsupport:
some addresses i try add http://20% in the beginning and say that the page cannot be viewed.
I encountered this problem first two weeks ago when i had a trojan but it proceeded after i took care of that. It doesn't let me go into any antivirus websites including updates to my norton. I have a hijack this log if needed.

Have Hijack This fix all of the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and hitting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

Reboot, and delete

files
C:\DOCUME~1\Adidush\LOCALS~1\Temp\324x32.exe
Microsoft.exe
Config33.exe
soundtasks.exe
Mcaffe2005.exe
officeXP.exe
C:\DOCUME~1\Adidush\LOCALS~1\Temp\tb_setup.exe

folders
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Rooted
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ROUTED II
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ja
C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools

These may be hidden files. See HERE for how to show hidden files.

I am very suspicious of these items in your log, as very few programs use two "run" registry entries.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ibmmessages] C:\Program Files\IBM\Messages By IBM\ibmmessages.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ibmmessages] C:\Program Files\IBM\Messages By IBM\ibmmessages.exe

Would you please find the file C:\Program Files\IBM\Messages By IBM\ibmmessages.exe, and check it's properties.

Please post a followup Hijack this log, any information about the file, and say if your problems persist.

thank you so much for responding!

I love your quote...

1. I have checked and fixed through hijack this.
2. rebooted
3. I cannot find (through search with hidden files) any of the files or folders that you asked me to delete except for C:/Program Files/Common/Wintools - but it tells me that i cant delete it because it is being used by another person or program is using the Wsup.exe(?)
the microsoft.exe file is in c:/WINDOWS/Prefetch but it has a long number attached to it and i'm not sure its the same file.
About the ibmmesseges.exe - I dont mind deleting it altogether but there is nothing fishy in the properties (or at least it seems to me) its version 1.0.5.8
4. on the other hand - a couple of weeks ago i was havig major trouble with the cOOL virus. I thought i got totally rid of it but now i see that there is a wierd 'cOOL' in the add/remove programs that doesn't let me delete it.
5.My desktop now is covered with backup2004 icons - is that normal?

6.This is the new Hijack this log

thank you so much for responding!
