What's a DDOS attack?

( and im honestly not sure where i was supposed to post this, so i posted in the open forum location, to avoid placing in the wrong forum )

DDOS is a
Distrubuted Denial Of Service attack

several computers will flood a site or service and overwelm it with data and request and just busy it out so on one can use it. it can last for a few hours or go on for days or weeks.
