zonealarm preventing me to play a game

I have the latest version of ZoneAlarm (free one)

whenever i try to find servers for the game Medal of Honor allied assault, my pc freezes. i cant get to the desktop to allow the game to be online. is there a way to allow the game to be online?

Honestly, I'm not all that familiar with ZA. But, I do believe that there is a menu where you can set application's to have access to do whatever they need to do. What I don't understand is why it freezes your computer instead of giving you the popup to ask to allow it's access. Are you sure it's ZA causing the problem?

This used to happen to me a lot with FFXI and Gunbound.

Open up the ZoneAlarm console, then go to "Program Control." Click "Add," then find the program's executable and double-click it. Set the checkmarks on it to "Internet, Trusted," and "Server, Trusted."

That ought to do it.
