Ok, this is my 3rd straight spyware problem on this computer and I think all of them are related. I now am having pop-ups and a search bar in explorer. Can someone tell me how to permanently remove this spyware?!?

I tried to uninstall it from the Add/Remove programs, but the computer restarted and the program came back up somehow. Also, my PC is going extremely slow. Someone please help!

I've already done this.

This is so screwed up that when I open a webpage, after 5 seconds, it closes.

You have the peper trojan. Download the uninstaller. When running it be sure to let it have internet access through any software firewalls you may have.

Download Peper Uninstaller from here and save it - http://downloads.sub...rg/PeperFix.exe
Double click on PeperFix.exe, let it run and terminate. (You must be online for the uninstall to be successful).

Run it again for good measure.

Run HijackThis, select these then close all windows and click "Fix selected"-

Is there anything I can do before this to be able to access the site? because after you open an internet explorer window, it closes very quickly.

Do you mean this site?

Are you able to print my instructions before the browser closes? (Ctrl+P)

I mean I am on a different computer than the infected one. I am reading the instructions from a different computer and I cannot get to the site with the uninstall with the infected computer. I read somewhere else about a regedit (?) and I was wondering if that is as efficient.

Then follow my other instructions first and we'll worry about the peper fix later.

EDIT:
could you save the peper fix to floppy disk?

Ok, I actually uninstalled the trojan manually through the regedit in safe mode, but I'm still going through with the uninstaller - how long should it take?

You seem to have missed some items from my first post.

Fix these in HijackThis-

(also check over my first post again)

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = file://C:\WINDOWS\System32\SearchBar.htm

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4FC95EDD-4796-4966-9049-29649C80111D} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Bakra] C:\WINDOWS\System32\IEHost.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinTools] C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools\WToolsA.exe

Then boot into safe mode and delete (items in bold only)-

how to boot into safe mode- http://service1.syma...src=sec_doc_nam

C:\WINDOWS\System32\IEHost.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\pcs\pcsvc.exe
