Hey,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows why i can't scan with housecall free virus scan
anymore. Everytime i try to it says iexplore has caused an error in sqlf.dll and then it closes. I don't think i have a hijacker but im wondering if it might be a virus

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

just posting something else. I check my computer with adaware, sbybot, alot of antivirus's, cws shredder. I found out i have the cws searchx malware. I deleted everything that adaware and sbybot told me and i let cws shredder fix the rest. I also had a dll file named pcoobba.dll that i deleted. Everything seems to be okay but when i go to the trendmicro homepage it now redirects to http://th.msie.tv/index.php?aid=20038 can anybody help as trendmicro was the only antivirus i was using and now i cant use it anymore. Plus i want to make sure i deleted the malware properly.

Thanks for your help

can anybody help as trendmicro was the only antivirus i was using and now i cant use it anymore.

Hi Bongo,
you should have a resident anti-virus program installed, AVG by Grisoft offers a 100% free version. Do not rely totally on online scans, like Housecall. Online scan should be considered only an extra precaution.

Also, looking at your log header, I notice you are way behind in your InternetExplorer version (5.5). You should run to WindowsUpdate & install all critical updates. You are EXTREMELY vulnerable without a running anti-virus program, & such an obsolete version of IE. :alarm:
Failure is not an option, it comes bundled with the software.

I downloaded all the updates and avg but i am still having the same problem.
avg says everything is okay. But everytime i go to trendmicro.com i get redirected to that same web site also when i open favorites in my browser my cursor changes into a square with black scribbling its very annoying. I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what to do now.

Thanks for you help
