      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Have Hijack This fix all of the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and hitting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = +s

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = +s

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = +s

Reboot, and delete

file

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll

folder

C:\Program Files\ClearSearch

These may be hidden files. See HERE for how to show hidden files.

These two items look rather odd, because you have no other trace of AOL in your log.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WindowsMGM] C:\Program Files\America Online 7.0\download\Document003.pif

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WindowsMGM] C:\Program Files\America Online 7.0\download\Document003.pif

Would you please find the file C:\Program Files\America Online 7.0\download\Document003.pif, and check it's properties. It may be a new variant of something nasty!

Please post a followup Hijack this log, along with any information on that file, and say if your problems persist.

:D Per your suggestion I've fixed & deleted the files.

The AOL v.7\Download \Document003.pif didn't exist and wasn't hidden. Also, the error message is gone. Thanks, I really appreciate it.
