I would say to disable these, then restart your computer and see if it has gone away, if it still comes up then there is something else that I can't see that is putting them back on.

Just to let you know, I'm a beginner myself and have only had a little experience i.e removing a browser hijacker from my computer, but I can't see any harm in deleting the ones with references to mypoisk.com.

I hope this helps, if not I'm sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
Kim.

Edit:
Just been looking up stuff on the internet and I found that IEengine.exe is associated with the browser hijack that you have... So also disable,
C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEENGINE.EXE

Again hope this helps.

sierramike,

You have a CoolWebSearch infection.

Download and run http://www.spywarein.../CWShredder.exe
from its own folder.

Click Fix and then Next, let it fix everything it asks about.

Reboot your computer.

Next, move HijackThis off the Desktop to its own permanent folder. Run another HijackThis scan and post it here for further review.

sierramike,

Your log looks clean.

Now, you should reset your System Restore point - if you were to restore the system to an earlier point, you could also restore the hijacker. You likely know how to do this, but if necessary refer to:

http://www.microsoft...stemrestore.asp

There is one optional fix in your log - here are a couple of opinions about loadqm.exe:

"loadqm.exe is MSN Queue Manager Loader, a service that is installed with MSN Explorer and MSN Messenger. It can use a lot of system resources."

"...the purpose of LOADQM.EXE is not clear. Some refer to the program as Microsoft's attempt to spy on you and report your every move to some sort of a central database system. The honest truth is that there is much speculation about what LOADQM.EXE does which causes the computer to respond sluggishly. ... many users noted that disabling LOADQM.EXE did not interfere with MSN Messenger or any other Microsoft programs that 'use' it."

I wouldn't want it on my system. If you feel the same, this is the item to fix:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LoadQM] loadqm.exe

Otherwise, you look good to go!
