When running adaware and spybot, the only item that does not get fixed is the huntbar registery key. Even when I run on startup, spybot is not able to fix this. Can you tell me how to remove it so my computer is 100% clean?

Does anyone have any idea at all? I did something like this once using safe mode, but I can't remember the details exactly. I don't know the registry key will not delete, but I think this reinstalls the spyware.

I have scanned with Spybot-did not forget to turn off system restore before and on after-but it removed all except Huntbar.>> This software was highly recommended to remove it, but to no avail. >>I even exercised the show all files option for my Windows XP-sp1 prior to scanning.

I visited the registry on my computer and found "BTEIN". It had two subfolders, BTEIN and taskcache.>Out of all the registry keys, the taskcache was the only one that gave a error message in trying to open.>This particular key caught my attention when trying to deregister MSIETS.dll, but it was not found nor was a file for it in Programfiles/Commonfiles.> Please provide any info on "BTEIN" and/or subfolder taskcache.

Hi,

Please provide any info on "BTEIN"

I did ... it's all in the Ad-Aware article ...

You must log in as the account that was in use when BTEIN was installed.
