      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Req help with suspected adware 1r5, Gyifdi, Iehost

2 posts in this topic

Hi,

My browser was hijacked and when I did Ctrl-Alt-Del to look at programs running, I noticed several things such as WhenUSearchDesktopToolbar, May17_loader, infamous_loader, MemoryWatcher_b. I cleaned up most of the problems by downloading Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. There are a couple of remaining programs on my computer that concern me because I am suspicious of them. They remain after running Ad-Aware, rebooting, running Spybot S&D, and rebooting again.

I have Windows 98 with IE 6.

1. When I Ctrl-Alt-Del, programs include some unknown stuff: 1r5, Gyifdi, and Iehost.

2. In Control Panel Add/Remove Programs, I see MaxSpeed, Genesis One DPM, PGate Basic, and 3D Groove Playback Engine, which I am not familiar with.

Here is my hijackthis.log. There's a variety of stuff in here that worries me, but my top concerns are those listed above. Please help me understand the stuff below that is ok to remove with HijackThis.
