Hi,

Are you running a file sharing program? You have an entry for P2P Networking.exe which is a huge source of spyware for your machine, for your benefit it needs to go, but you'll most likely lose your file sharing connection depending on the program your using, it's your choice but I recommend you remove it there are other programs that will serve you better.

Run the scan for Hijack This again. Put a check next to all of the following and then click 'FIX'
I've put the P2P first in case you want to skip, but you will be constantly infected if you leave it,

===
C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART
===

C:\WINDOWS\wdskctl.exe

C:\documents and settings\laura\local settings\temp\LNv.exe

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {83DE62E0-5805-11D8-9B25-00E04C60FAF2} - C:\WINDOWS\2_0_1browserhelper2.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [wdskctl] C:\WINDOWS\wdskctl.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LNv] C:\documents and settings\laura\local settings\temp\LNv.exe

******************

Now run all of these online scans:
BitDefender Virus/Trojan Scan
Mcafee Online Scan

Delete everything they find

--------->

Download the new Spybot 1.3 Final ,

Open Spybot and click 'check for problems , when it's finished, click on 'fix problems' ...... that will be everything listed in red, installing it will help give you some future real time protection against spyware.

Post a a new hijack log after you clean up with the above,

:)

ok here is the updated file log...i didn't delete my p2p program just because i'm stubborn and i'm a download junkie haha. i try to keep it as clean as i can by using kazaa lite and using adaware and all that, but with bittorrent, i don't use kazaa as much as i used to, so i know i'll eventually stop, i just still need the outlet for now haha. thanks for your help.

Hi,

Looks good,

Bty, you know your running 'VNC' software, so your computer can be remotely viewed and operated by someone else, your aware of that, just making sure....

There are other file share programs without 'p2p' ..... better than Kazzaa, look for them ....

Just run your Spybot regularly, and 'update' it frequently ......

:)

thanks alot for your help, my computer is running better now.

yeah, i'm aware that i have the VNC thing on my computer, my step dad has my entire family on wireless internet with some weird networking done because he's a big computer guy, and he never uses the VNC thing, but everynow and then he uses it if there is some problem with his networking rigs

what other download program like kazaa would you recommend? i know of some others, but i can't ever get good advice on which one would probably be the best in terms of avoiding spyware and all
