I have read the FAQ's & some other posts on this board (and a lot other places) and can't solve this problem. I get this message whenever I try to activate Internet Explorer.
Application Name: iexpolre.exe...ModName: shelll32.dll.

I updated and ran Ad Aware, SpyBot, CWShredder and HijackThis. Ad Aware removed several modules.

SpyBot removed several more but could not remove one called "n-Case". I tried restart and it could not remove it, and I tried restart in Safe Mode and it could not remove it.

CWShredder found one module called erase_SR.exe which I did not clear since I don't know what it is.

I have pasted the Hijack log below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By no means an expert, so I won't even hazard a guess at your hjt log or registry, but as a simply alternative for the next few days, http://www.mozilla.o...oducts/firefox/

Keir...thank you for your reply. I may try that as an alternative but I still need to be able to get on the the internet via IE (for Microsoft updates & patches, for work, etc.).
