Hi

In what way do you mean your log on log off displays are changed.

You can change the way users log on/off in the control panel.

Hi. thanks for your fast reponse. Here is what happens The display thing is that every reboot puts all display settings back to some previous setting. Desktop goes back to the last one used, font goes to extra large, on and on. It stays as XP modified but not the modifications I have chosen. Hope this helps thought I may have some spy or virus that Im not picking up. :techsupport:

Thyme a little more in depth of what has happened.Hope this helps
I have a bug I would love to get fixed. I have had it for just over a year now. I have XP home on an emachine c2160. It didn't come with a windows cd so I can't reinstall. I did get two CD's that say they contain all of the software that came with the PC, but when I ran scannow for problems and it asked for the CD several times and I put both in it did not accept.

The problem is in the display settings for the desktop, font size, caption buttons, scrollbar size, the latter two seem to be connected to the font. What happens is everytime I reboot the settings go to a previous setting. The desktop goes to what ever was last used and the font goes to extra large. Sometimes it takes longer for it to react and when it does it almost crashes the system. All window borders turn black and so does parts of the tray. Sometimes the font changes before the desktop does and if I change it back where I want it sometimes the desktop will not change other times it will. Sometimes I have to reset it twice before it will stay on the settings I want. Usually before it begins to change there is a sort of whistle sound from the system. It is very annoying and I would love for it to go away.
Thanks ibbillca
