Hello, I have just installed and configured Ad Aware. The 'smart system scan' takes no more than a few minutes but how long does a 'full scan' take. I have read estimates that run from several minutes to several hours. I have a home pc running Windows xp with 40gb of memory. I have let the full scan run for 20 minutes but there was no end in site. Surely a full scan does not take hours does it?

Depending on the size of the hard drive, it can take quite a while.
