On my computer the default search page has been switched to WebSearch.com and even If I change it it still goes back. Ad-Aware failed to remove it. HijackThis showed me some registry keys that preitaned to it and I got rid of those, however when I restarted they came back. I am at a loss. my Hijackthis log is posted below.
Plz help.

I would remove all of the R0 and R1 entries--they affect searching and looking at some of the names, they can all go (in my opinion).

Be sure IE is closed when doing this.

Then run Ad-Aware, Spybot 1.3 after getting latest updates, then post your hijackthis log again.

I also had problems with Websearch.com. I kept removing the R0 and R1 entries in Hijackthis but the problem kept returning. I found I needed to remove the Wintools folder from under C:Program Files\Common Files\Wintools. I had to do this from safe mode and I had to remove the read only flags and hidden flags. Once I did this all my fixes in Hijackthis remained permanent.

Hope this helps.
