Hi, I just removed some viruses from this computer which included Proxy5x, 5Y, and w32dbotgen.g. I am still having some internet connection issues. I ran updated CWS, AdAware 6.0 and Spybot S&D. This hjt log seems like there are some things in there that shouldn't be there. Thanks.

Hi again, didn't mean to bump so soon, but I also wanted to know if it is ok to follow Merijn's hjt tutorial to remove alot of this stuff myself instead of posting at first signs of a problem? I will probably have alot of postings in the near future due to some friends and relatives problematic computers. Thanks

Right click the task bar, select task manager and end these processes...

C:\WINDOWS\ALCXMNTR.EXE (spyware)

Then run HTJ, and get rid of these...

C:\WINDOWS\ALCXMNTR.EXE (spyware)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE (same spyware)

Reboot...

Spybot should help fix this...

O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'spsublsp.dll' missing

Bart:
Thanks for the response. Damn, less than 2 days and your response was down 17 pages, this forum sure is busy.

I wasn't sure about what you meant about having hjt remove C:\WINDOWS\ALCXMNTR.EXE, so I went into that folder to remove it manually because there wasn't an entry in hjt for it.

Also, that question about the hjt tutorials, any opinions? Thanks again.
