It started several weeks ago, and I began having all kinds of problems. My homepage would be often (but not always) hijacked to a porn site or a gambling site (neither of which I'd ever visited).Once I was even disconnected and dialed in to some expensive british 900 number. I also began receiving those Windows Messenger popups for real estate, gambling, etc.

So, anyway, last week I installed and ran Spybot S&D and it removed a bunch of crap (TIBS and some other stuff). But now it appears it didn't get everything. I've looked for updates each day and run it. Everytime I run Spybot, something called "DSO Exploit" comes up with 5 subentries, each of which seem to rewrite registry entries to set something to Internet Zone 3. I 'fix' these 5 entries every time, but they're there the next time. But since nothing else was coming up, and it didn't seem this DSO Exploit was doing anything significant, I ignored it and got back to work.

Then today a problem resurfaced. About every ten minutes a shortcut icon appears on my desktop. It looks like a big orange 'X' on a black background. I delete it, but then it eventually reappears. Its purpose seems to be to hijack an instance of MSIE. And every once in a while I will be disconnected from the internet (I'm on a standard dialup connection) and it will attempt to dial me in to somewhere else. Here's what this shortcut says in its Properties:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" http://www.casinopal...sourceid=101969

Spybot S&D doesn't find this item to be any kind of problem.

I had disabled a startup item called '9GaNnwSLN.exe' since it looked weird. But I let it run just now, before rebooting and generating the HiJackThis log below.

Anyway, I'm not sure how much more info you want. I've read the FAQ and done everything I know how to do. I would positively love any help and will bless your offspring to the 7th generation if we can figure this out.

Here's my HijackThis Log:
