      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

Adsrve Problems

4 posts in this topic

Hi,

I've recently noticed that certain words are being turned into links in my browser sending me to adsrve.com. I also notice extra pop ups and other annoyances.

I also see new options under tools in IE such as MaxSpeed.

Here is my HijakThis log. Please help if you can. Thanks

You need to run windows update. Your Internet Explorer is a few updates behind.

You are infected with the peper trojan. Run this uninstaller:

http://downloads.subratam.org/PeperFix.exe

Run another hijackthis scan. Place a check next to the following entries, then close all other windows and click the fix button.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = file://C:\WINDOWS\System32\SearchBar.htm

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\blank.htm

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1C4DA27D-4D52-4465-A089-98E01BB725CA} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\inetdctr.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [intdctrr] C:\WINDOWS\System32\idctup20.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LJHbpHa.exe] C:\documents and settings\djt\local settings\temp\LJHbpHa.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [3MQQFB82A65FN3] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Xnwexd5.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Mobn] C:\Documents and Settings\DJT\Application Data\iehu.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WINT] C:\WINDOWS\System32\wcpcc.exe

O4 - Startup: Download Plus.lnk = C:\Documents and Settings\DJT\Application Data\DownloadPlus.exe

O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: MaxSpeed (HKLM)

O16 - DPF: Win32 Classes -

O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://207.188.7.150/22a379a679a095c69600/...ip/RdxIE601.cab

Then reboot into safe mode and delete these files.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\idctup20.exe

C:\Documents and Settings\DJT\Application Data\iehu.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wcpcc.exe

C:\Documents and Settings\DJT\Application Data\DownloadPlus.exe

Empty the contents of this folder.

C:\documents and settings\djt\local settings\temp

You may have to enable hidden files to find all the files.

Then reboot and run another hijackthis scan and post your new log here.

I did what you suggested. I could not find 3 files you said to delete, and I confirmed I was viewing hidden files:

C:\Documents and Settings\DJT\Application Data\iehu.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wcpcc.exe

C:\Documents and Settings\DJT\Application Data\DownloadPlus.exe
