      IE 11 copy/paste problem

It has come to our attention that people using Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) are having trouble with copy/paste to the forum. If you encounter this problem, using a different browser like Firefox or Chrome seems to get around the problem. We do not know what the problem is, but it seems to be specific to IE 11 and we are hopeful that Microsoft will eventually fix it.

I posted to the PC forum to ensure I was clean, and finally today I got hijacked again just by smacking the back button. Here's my latest log, with a plea for help as soon as possible because this is my parent's computer and I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon.

One last update - I noticed a file titled "SexDownloader.cab" STILL in the Windows directory. Any relation to the key I deleted last night?

Hi there Rebochan,

What you need to do is:

Make sure all browsers and windows are closed except for hijackthis and put a check against the following and click 'fix checked';

O16 - DPF: {421A63BA-4632-43E0-A942-3B4AB645BE51} - http://download-ak.systemsoap.com/ssoap/pp...stemsoappro.cab <http://download-ak.systemsoap.com/ssoap/pptproactauthakamai/systemsoappro.cab>

O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://207.188.7.150/2095b38caf52d1d66817/...ip/RdxIE601.cab <http://207.188.7.150/2095b38caf52d1d66817/netzip/RdxIE601.cab>

Reboot,

then post a fresh logfile so I can check to see if it is clean

All right, did as you said and here's the new log. Also, I deleted SexDownloader.cab while it was in the Windows directory, but left it in the recycle bin. Ran RegCleaner again and I saw it delete a registry key for the same item. So between all of this let's hope this comp's clean.

Hi,

Your logfile is now clean. It will be safe to delete the SexDownloader.cab.

To provide future protection - I would advise you to download and install:

SpywareBlaster will block bad ActiveX and malevolent cookies. Download from Here

IE-SPYAD puts over 4000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all. Download

Here

Both are very small free programs that you run once, and then just weekly to check for updates.

And also see

So how did I get infected in the first place?
