I have a gatewaycomputer that came with windows XP Home edition. The system would not boot up and there were no error messages. I tried doing a repair, but my mother didn't remember the administrator's password, so I couldn't do that. Then I tried to do a reinstall and the installation stops giving me an error that says that "File setupdd.sys could not be loaded. Setup cannot continue" Can anyone give me a suggestion on how to proceed? :weep:

sorry- that should be windows XP
