When I boot up my computer an ad that says DANGER! YOU"RE IN TROUBLE comes on the screen. When I click on the ad a webpage for something called smart security appears. I was being redirected to porn sites but CWSShredder and Spybot seem to have taken care of that. Now I'm redirected to mshp.dll. The threads concerning mshp didn't work for me. HijackThis removes it until I reboot. Sometimes I get about:blank. Can someone give me advice in laymans terms on how to deal w/this. It's driving me nuts..

It sounds like the CWS about:blank variant with the hidden .dll file which CWShredder isn't configured to handle yet, so it requires manual removal.

To get started, please post a HijackThis log (as a reply in this thread).

You have to open the Themes and Appearance in the Control panel Then change the desktop background. Then click customize desktop then click on the web tab then delete any html files there that aren't supposed to be if you haven't said otherwise there should be none there
