Help - I have been having problems with a very annoying hijacker. I have tried AdAware and SpyBot but they don't solve the problem. I have also run CWS Shredder.

My home page is reset to res://tontb.dll/index.html#96676. Although IE will let me reset the home page to my usual home, the hojacker resets it again shortly afterwards. Pop ups are added, Searches are accompanied by additional searches to a search engine of the hicjackers shoosing, and I cannot certain web pages. Anything starting without www is redirected.

Here is a Hijack This log:

Thanks very much for trying to help me out.

I ave done what you asked - there seems to be no impact - my browser home page still gets hijacked and my searches are redirected.

Attached is the revised Hijack This log after I have followed your instructions:

Bump.

I notice that there are many threads started by people with a similar problem. Has anyone successfully eliminated this hijacker?

Based on the advice provided in another thread started by someone with the same problem, I performed a system restore. This appears to have solved the problem, but just to be sure, could someone look at my Hijack This log and see if you think my system is now clean?

Also, I note that another thread points to a solution in a different forum
http://www.pchell.co...t/lookfor.shtml

I haven't tried it - has anyone else? If so, please let everyone know if it works - this hijacker seems to be affecting many people.
