I've recently seem to been getting a lot of spyware on my comp, whenever i run adaware, or spybot search and destroy it always finds like around 10 new things. And i also get a few errors at startup and my computer starts up a bit slower, same with my performance which i think is the problem because of INETMGR.exe, and INETSVC.exe, i don't remember these processes running, and when i try to end them they will not go away. And i get a popup or two every once in a while. No matter how many times i run the adaware and spybot and delete what it finds, it keeps coming back.

Here is my log from HijackThis.

Hi,

I couldn't get rid of TV Media, when i try to delete the folder it says TVM.exe is currently in use. Also it seems to be coming back to HijackThis when i re-scan.

Also userinit.exe keeps coming back like 10 seconds after i delete it. And i couldn't find iel2cde8.dll so i guess thats a good thing.

Here is the updated log:

Great work Firefuze!

You have some stubborn files there that are going to take a little more effort to remove. Try the following and see if we can clean them up.

Posted Image Reboot your PC into Safe Mode by doing the following:
  • Start Windows, or if it is running, shut Windows down, and then turn off the computer.
  • Restart the computer. The computer begins processing a set of instructions known as the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). What is displayed depends on the BIOS manufacturer. Some computers display a progress bar that refers to the word BIOS, while others may not display any indication that this process is happening.
  • As soon as the BIOS has finished loading, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Continue to do so until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  • Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, scroll to and select the Safe mode menu item, and then press Enter.
Posted Image Make sure you are set to Show Hidden Files and Folders:
  • Click Start.
  • Open My Computer.
  • Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
  • Select the View Tab.
  • Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
  • Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
  • Click Yes to confirm.
  • Click OK.
Posted Image Delete the following files:
  • C:\WINDOWS\System32\Userinit.exe
Posted Image Delete the following folders:
  • C:\Program Files\TV Media\
Posted Image Close all application and browser windows and run HijackThis.

Click on the Scan button
Put a check beside the following line(s)
  • R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {707E6F76-9FFB-4920-A976-EA101271BC25} - C:\Program Files\TV Media\TvmBho.dll
  • F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\System32\Userinit.exe
  • O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [TV Media] C:\Program Files\TV Media\Tvm.exe
  • O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [TV Media] C:\Program Files\TV Media\Tvm.exe
Click on the "Fix Checked" button
