I'm having a problem with my icons on my desktop & start menu showing up as just white boxes kinda blurry. Also anytime I visit certain webites I get a message error about my Active X. Any ideas on whats causing those? Heres some screen shots:

You're seeing the ActiveX warnings because the applets are unsigned and most likely malicious. Don't worry about that.

You may wish to tap F5 on your desktop in order to refresh it and fix the icons. If that doesn't work, there is a second method; it involves Tweak UI. Try F5 first, though.

F5 doesn't do anything to the icons. Also I just started getting those messages when my icons messed up.

Okay, get Tweak UI from Microsoft. Unzip it, then right-click tweakui.inf and hit Install.

Run the Tweak UI control panel. There should be an entry in one of the tabs that purges the current icon cache and rebuilds it. Click that, then hit OK.

Reboot.

If the problems persist, post a reply.
