Here is my log. I use Ad-Aware, Spyware Blaster, CW Shredder and AVG but still can't get rid of easy-search. If I try to delete, it just comes back later. Also a dialer appears in my Windows folder a few minutes after I've booted up. Any suggestions? I'm at my wit's end. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Download CWShredder from http://www.spywarein.../CWShredder.exe

Close all other programs and run it. Click "Fix", "Next", and let it fix anything it finds. Then reboot and post a new Hijackthis log.

Hi,

Thanks for the fast reply. I did what you said. Shredder fixed some stuff but for one item it couldn't determine if it was a random string of characters or not. It said it could be part of CWS.Control.3. This is the item:

C:\WINDOWS\winh.exe

Just to be safe I didn't fix it. Should I? Anyway, here is the new log:

Looks like easy-search came back pretty fast. Right after I ran Shredder I opened explorer and it was gone, but by the time I ran hijackthis it was already back. Thanks again for the help.

Could you please do an online virus scan at Trend Micro's Housecall or Panda Activescan or better still, both. If they find anything fix it and reboot. Then run CWShredder again, let it fix all the things it finds including winh.exe if it comes up again, then reboot and post a new Hijackthis log.

I forgot to mention that a few minutes after I reboot AVG detects a Trojan Dailer. Whether I delete it with AVG or do it manually, it comes back a few minutes later.

OK.

Download aČ free from http://www.a-2.org/en/software/free/

Install it, update it, scan with it. Fix anything it finds. Reboot.

Run CWShredder again, reboot again, post a new Hijackthis log.

Done. I used aČ, rebooted, used CW Shredder, rebooted again.

If I run Hijackthis right after reboot it looks clean(after CW Shredder), but after a few minutes easy-search comes back and the warning from AVG about the "Dailer 8.U" comes up. Again, I can easily delete it, but it just comes back later.

Here's the new log:

Could you start in safe mode, please.

How to start in safe mode.

Run CWShredder in safe mode and do fix. Then reboot into normal mode, and if the easysearch is gone, then post a new HJT log.
