this a copy of email i sent to merijn, but i want an answer faster than he may be able to provide, since i deleted a dll file

i had a problem with some kind of hijack

some search page took over as my start page even though i had it set to blank and switched it back to blank with spywareguard

on a few search engines that i tried , the browser was hijacked and taken to porn pages instead of the results i clicked

i could not get it fixed until i deleted a file called "jbalda.dll"

i went through so many attempts to fix the problem that i am not sure if i discovered the file using hijackthis or another program

i may have seen the filename when spywareguard told me about home, search, bho changes

mcafee did not find a problem, spybot did not find a problem, deletion of "prefs.js" did not fix the problem, nor did uninstall and reinstall of ie5.5 fix the problem

spybot did detect a BHO and said it removed it,but the hijack kept happening

after i deleted "jbalda.dll",it did not show up on the hijackthis scan

what do you know about "jbalda.dll"?

i still have it in recycle bin if you want to examine it

i just went back and read your june 1 update and that looks like the problem i had
