My mouse cursor keeps changing to the hourglass constantly. It appears for a blink, then goes back to normal. This happens every second like a heart beat. It does not stop no matter what i do. Also regscr32.exe appears in my processes window every 3 secs or so, then dissapears. This also doesnt stop. However, The appearance of regsvr32.exe does not sync with my cursor problem. I ran ad-aware, spybot, avast virus scanner, some online ones, x-cleaner. Nothing.

here's my hijackthis log.

I had that problem a few times..what it was for me..was when I switched to a new Theme with StyleXP..it couldn't find the Mouse Settings...if I went to the settings (in XP), the box was blank...when I changed to my setup...all was fine again.

ShadowFox,

I hope you haven't re-formatted yet. I know you've come into chat and no one has found anything obvious, but there are a few things that we may be able to remove through hijackthis that I'd like to try first. I'm posting a question on it and will get back to you shortly.
