I've read the faq's. Tried everything in the hijack articles, run AdAware and Spybot and can't remove this hijack. I think it is related to an executable called dywzt.dll but when I use Hijack this to fix those entries and even delete that file from the system32 directory it rebuilds itself when I restart the browser. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

KrissK

perhaps you should try to delete all those dywzt.dll entries (especially those that deal with internet explorer) and restart your computer before you open the browser to see if it's rebuilding itself again.

the sdkeq.exe entry is also suspicious. it's a random filename. so delete that too before you restart:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sdkeq.exe] C:\WINDOWS\sdkeq.exe

Thanks for the suggestion but that did not help. As you can see from the new log below the dll has renamed itself with a new random name. Please help!!!

check out my post http://www.spywarein...?showtopic=6952

can't be certain I am on the right track but it worked for me. You are dead right about the rebuilding and random names so you have roll up sleeves and get into delete mode.

Thanks everyone. I think I've got it fixed now. I went into my windows/system32 and windows directories took a deep breath and started deleting (actually I archived them) files created or modified in the last 2 days that were not identifiable. Then I ran the 20.6.2004 version of adaware, rebooted, ran hijackthis deleted an offending file oncemore, rebooted. Seems to work now, ben going for an hour with multiple browser open/closes - still stable. Crossing my fingers.....
