I don't know what to do for this, but it's very irritating. I ran through a few spy-cleaners but nothing picked up.

Your log shows that MSConfig is running at startup. This indicates that you may be using "diagnostic startup" rather than "normal startup", to stop something running. While this is OK, when looking for malware, it is possible that you have disabled it, and it will not then show up in the Hijack this log. Before posting a fresh log, would you please open MSConfig, and choose the "normal startup" option. Then everything will be running, and if anything needs removal, we can give appropriate advice.

Wierds. Once I restarted in "normal mode" I pulled up the internet and it was set on "blank" instead of the dreaded. "secure.html." I reset to my regular page now.

The secure thing is gone. Just thought I'd mention that.

Ahhaa!! You have the Blaster worm. It was masked by the diagnostic startup. A removal tool is available on the Symantec website.

Have Hijack This fix all of the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and hitting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapp...rch/search.html
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\secure.html

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [windows auto update] msblast.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ist service uninstall] C:\WINDOWS\mstasks2.exe /u
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [iedll] C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\iedll.exe

Reboot and delete

files
C:\WINDOWS\mstasks2.exe
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\iedll.exe

These may be hidden files. See HERE for how to show hidden files.

Please post a followup Hijack this log, and say if your problems persist.

Ran Blaster remover tool.
Ran Hijack fixes.
Deleted -C:\WINDOWS\mstasks2.exe *had to open hidden files and folders*
Could not find -C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\iedll.exe to delete it. *should I worry?*.

Updated Hijack Log.
