I do not have any indication that CWS or its variants are on my box. However, would there be a problem in running CWShredder? I guess as a Network Security geek, I'm just curious what the results would be, if any.

If there is no infection, nothing will happen.

Might occasionally give false positives though, depending on the hosts file you are using.
