THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT! I love HJT, and I have no reason to believe my computer is infected with anything at this time.
I'm just curious. When I first run HJT on my Win95-C machine, it shows a handful of items (5), all of which I can identify as beneign. Then I press SAVE LOG, and the log shows the previously displayed items, along with a short list of running processes, all of which are also legitimate (at least they all have legitimate names -- but I'm also aware that CRUD sometimes gives itself legitimate names).
Then, if I again click on SCAN NOW, the results of a new scan show an addtional five items, all having to do with Internet Explorer "Search" directives. They all point at MSN.COM, so I'm not worried that they are anything untoward.
The question is, why don't these items show up in the FIRST scan, and only in the SECOND scan?
